Primary duty of care
Do you need a workplace assessment? NZ legislation puts the primary responsibility for the health of workers onto the shoulders of their employer.
So, under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, your business has a primary duty of care to its workers. To meet your obligations under the Act, it’s important to look after not only your employees, clients but also yourself.
Workplace assessments can help you think about all the aspects of your workplace and how employees interact with them – from massive machinery all the way down to the toaster in the kitchen. And we consider more than simply the physical dangers. We also look at the risk of overwork, burnout and anxiety.
If you need further support with these aspects, our services include Onsite workplace screening opportunities and Mindfulness-based Stress reduction training. Find out more about how we support businesses.
