Osteoarthritis Classes
When we talk about arthritis normally we are referring to osteoarthritis (OA). If like 10% of kiwis you need osteoarthritis pain management, we can help. Our osteoarthritis classes are led by physiotherapists skilled in teaching arthritis pain management solutions.
Keep moving with OA arthritis classes.
Our OA classes are specifically designed for Auckland whānau who have been recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis affecting the hip or knee.
Our GPs can refer you to us to join others in the Highbrook community living with joint pain.
Learn to manage your OA arthritis by understanding:
- How your joints work and how to look after them
- What osteoarthritis medication can be prescribed and other tools to ease symptoms.
- The importance of weight management and diet to alleviate joint stress.
- Scalds or burns
- Integrating non-weight bearing exercise into your routine.
We’ll set you up with a plan to improve movement, flexibility and overall well being. Consequently, you’ll notice less pain and experience less joint stress when you follow the programme.
In fact, you’ll find that our Highbrook community has many other whānau living with osteoporosis experiencing the same symptoms as you. They support each other through the classes and you’ll be welcome too. Come join us in our South Auckland OA classes. Call us to ask about times.
