Our new Highbrook Medical Centre is now open

State-of-the-art medical centre

Our new medical centre in the Highbrook Business Park is now officially open!

Opening the doors to Highbrook Medical for the first time during Auckland’s lockdown Level 4 is a surreal feeling. It goes without saying that our community understand why this feels like such an achievement. Our thanks go out to all those who have had to think laterally and do the mahi to make this happen. They’ve had to work within restrictions, often from afar. Kia ora whānau.

We’re taking Online Enrolments now

We’re opening the doors to our beautiful, new state-of-the-art clinic a little more slowly than intended. But we like to think in an even more heartfelt way. Whilst we can’t usher you, our new Highbrook whānau, inside to enrol in person right now, we’re delighted to invite you to register online.  Or please call to get more information.

Furthermore, we can help with in-person consultations where the circumstances allow. It might be that we have our first appointment with you virtually.  Our website has been set up to help you get easy access to information about our team of amazing healthcare professionals. Also, the Patient Portal can be used to order prescriptions or make appointments.  You’ll be able to find updates here or follow us on Facebook.

Workplace wellbeing to help our East Tāmaki community thrive

Obviously, we can’t wait to have an official opening when we can. It will be a real pleasure to show you this new space that’s been built specifically for members of the Highbrook community. It’s been a long time coming.

The vision to create Highbrook Medical started before we knew the words ‘Covid-19′.  It came from a goal to deliver workplace wellbeing and health services near the homes and businesses of this community.

Therefore the most exciting aspect of our clinic is that we will be supporting local businesses. We’ll work with those in the Highbrook Business Park and greater East Tamaki commercial areas to codesign what great healthcare looks like for their employees. Employers can find out more here.

Hence unavoidably, our plans to open in April 2020 had to be put on pause as Aotearoa felt the first waves of the global pandemic. Our focus as healthcare providers had to first be channelled into that response. During the extra time it’s taken to open our doors, we have seen our staff manaaki. They’ve shown their mana on the front lines in our other clinics, Botany Junction and Ormiston

Ngā mihi maioha

Finally, we want to thank everyone involved in bringing this plan to life. Especially, we extend our thanks to the Counties Manukau Health, Mana Whenua i Tāmaki Makaurau and the team from Health Improvement Group as well as Focusplan for all of the mahitahi (collaboration) in planning.

Countless people have been involved in the fit-out of our fabulous building and enabling our new medical centre to open today.

So, we are humbled to have made it. Not to the finish line, but to the starting point of a new hau ora (health) journey, on which we aim to unconditionally support you, your whānau and our South Auckland Community.

Nau mai, haere mai: welcome to Highbrook Medical Centre. Your workplace is now our workplace. Mauri ora.
